1m Nigerians Receive N5000 Monthly

This just in: 1m Nigerians receive N5000 monthly. On Thursday, the Federal Government announced that 1,940,004 Nigerians in need were now receiving N5,000 cash presents each month.

This was said by Hajia Sadiya Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, during a one-day stakeholder retreat on the National Social Investment (Establishment) Bill that the Senate Committee on Social Responsibilities sponsored.

Dr. Nasir Gwarzo, the ministry’s permanent secretary, acted as Farouq’s representative.

The National Social Investment Programme Establishment Bill’s purpose, according to the minister, was to establish a legal and institutional framework for the National Social Investment Plan’s implementation.

She mentioned that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd. ), established the NSIP in 2016 to address social and economic inequities and reduce poverty among Nigerians.
