APC Agent Threatens Lagos Voters

APC agent threatens Lagos voters with violence if they choose not to vote APC. On Saturday, a guy who went unnamed but was reportedly an APC electoral agent in Lagos State encouraged voters to go home if they did not want to support the ruling party.

According to reports, the incident took place on Fehintola Giwa Street in Aguda, Surulere, Lagos State.

Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential nominee, is a native of Lagos State. Moreover, the Surulere Local Government Area is a component of Femi Gbajabiamila’s congressional district.

The region has had isolated instances of election violence in the past. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, alias Jandor, a candidate for governor of Lagos State for the Peoples Democratic Party, had his convoy ambushed in the Coker neighborhood of Aguda in Surulere, according to The PUNCH on January 28, 2023.

APC Agent Threatens Lagos Voters

Three people were hurt during the incident by several alleged hoodlums. These fired randomly and destroyed some of the campaign cars in Adediran’s convoy.

But, in a video seen by a journalist on Saturday, the unnamed agent can be heard telling voters in the neighborhood who aren’t voting for the APC to leave the polling place and go home.

The male agent declared in the 28-second video footage that Surulere supports the APC. And that only those who are prepared to vote for the APC should approach the voting booth.

“Go back to your house if you can’t vote APC here. You are free to return home because you were not coerced into visiting the voting unit.

I will go and check (ballot papers) and if I see that you vote for another party, you’d enter wahala (trouble). You’re in APC territory. Please go and relax in your house if you’re not voting APC,” the man said.
