Atiku Emerges Winner In Bayelsa

Atiku emerges winner in Bayelsa State. At the presidential election collation center of the state, the PDP’s president candidate has been announced winner of Bayelsa State polls.

Atiku’s victory was confirmed in the early hours of Tuesday. The PDP scored a total of 68,818 topping the 49,975 of Labour Party’s Peter Obi and 42,572 of the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

Bayelsa State had 1,056,862 registered voters and 177,368 accredited voters across its eight local government areas (LGAs). Tye number of accredited voters is low compared to the number of registered voters in the state.

There were 165,325 valid votes and 7,786 rejected votes, amounting to 173,111 total votes.

The national collation center in Abuja is set to resume collation of votes at 11 a.m. today.
