As of 10:30 am on Sunday, INEC personnel were not present. This is according to our correspondent who visited all the voting locations in Yenagoa

Voters, observers, security personnel, and journalists could be seen waiting for the commission’s officials and ballots at the Fakulu Health Centre polling location in Epie 3 and the Ayemeze polling location 004, also in Epie 3.

The rescheduled election will now take place on Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. At least according to a statement made on Saturday by Wilfred Ifogah.

He claimed that due to the disturbance of the election on Saturday, the polls were moved to Sunday.

A voter from the Amarata village identified himself as Adolfus Johnson and claimed he was demoralized by the INEC’s failure to fulfill its promise.

I’m discouraged since with the rescheduled elections yet to start and that INEC can’t fulfill its promise, the man remarked. Because there were no INEC representatives present yesterday, we were unable to cast our votes.

Ifogah responded that “electoral officers are on their way” when called.
