RAFO Musannah in Oman Saif Sareea 3

Members of the Role Two Critical Care Air Support Team (CCAST) in Shafa Camp, Oman perform a small demonstration of loading a patient onto a wheeled stretcher.

Whilst out in Oman on Exercise Saif Sareea the CCAST were able to provide care to the more critically ill, or injured patients whilst they are being moved to either a host nation hospital or the Strategic UK RAF team, where they would then be taken back to the UK.

The team have the capability to use a variety of aircraft including helicopters and fixed wing aircraft with the aim to bring the injured person back to the UK within 24-48 hours.
