Type up your Tweet (up to 280 characters) in the compose box at the top of your Home timeline, or tap the Tweet button in the navigation bar.
Add up to 4 photos, a GIF, or a video in your Tweet.
Press the Tweet button to post the Tweet to your profile.
To save a draft of the Tweet, press the X icon in the top left corner of the compose box, then tap Save. Schedule your Tweet to be sent at a later date/time by clicking on the calendar icon at the bottom of the compose box. Make your scheduled selections and click on Confirm. To go to your drafts and scheduled Tweets, tap on Unsent Tweets from the Tweet compose box.
Tweet source labels help you understand how a Tweet was posted better. This additional information offers context about the Tweet and its author. If you can’t recognize the source, you might want to learn more to determine how much you can trust the content.
- Select a Tweet to go to the Tweet details page.
- At the bottom of the Tweet, see the label for the source of the account’s Tweet. For instance, Twitter for iPhone, Twitter for Android, or Twitter for Web.
- Tweets that have the Twitter for Advertisers label show that they are created through the Twitter Ads Composer and not whether they are paid content or not. Paid content has a Promoted badge across all ad formats.
- In some instances, you see a third-party client name indicating the Tweet came from a non-Twitter application. Authors use third-party client applications to manage their Tweets sometimes. Tweets and campaigns can be created by humans directly or, in some cases, automated by an application.
