This just in: Tinubu and Atiku tie in Sokoto. Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, and Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, have each won five local governments out of the 23 local governments in Sokoto State.

With the preliminary results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Sokoto, Tinubu has grabbed the lead.

According to the preliminary INEC results for the state, Tinubu is in the lead with 101,608 votes. Followed by Atiku with 98,080, Kwankwaso with 324. And Peter Obi only got 171 votes across the 10 local governments.

Shagari, Yabo, Gudu, Tangaza, Rabbah, Binji, Wurno, Tureta, Bodinga, and Kware local governments have had their results announced thus far. The results for the remaining 13 local governments are anticipated to be made public when the collation center reopens later today.
