As Nigerians vote in a new president on Saturday, February 25, 2023, we will consider the possible challenges the new president will encounter.

The major challenges include:

• security
• the economy
• national cohesion
• the university system
• the fight against corruption

It’s an enormous task for anyone. Nigerians all around the world will place faith in the new president to overcome these challenges.

The new president needs to approach governance differently. He must make decisions and stand by them. He also needs to be patriotic. The fate of the country in the face of these challenges largely depends on the strength of character and dedication of the incoming president
