How To Call An Existing group Or Join A Live Group Call With Duos

Note: Children’s accounts can only join groups if at least one of their contacts is in the group.

  1. Go to the Google Duo application Duo.
  2. At the bottom right, select New call.
  3. Beneath “Groups,” call a group or join one live. If “Live” is under group name, the call is live and you can join.
  • Call an existing group: Click the group name or participants and then Start video call.
  • Join a live group call: Select the group name or participants and then Join video call.

To rename a group, add members, reset a group link, or leave a group

  1. Go to the Google Duo application Duo.
  2. At the bottom right, select New Call.
  3. Below “Groups,” click a group and then More options.
  4. Pick an option and follow all instructions on the screen.

For suspicious groups

If you get a group invite that contains blocked accounts or people outside your contacts list, Google Duo marks the group as suspicious. Google Duo will not give you any information about the group members you blocked.

You can join or choose to decline the group. If you join, Google Duo will not unblock people you have blocked.
